Fractional Advisory Board

Aisha Rahman

Independent Advisor — Fintech & IMTO Compliance. Senior consultant on AML/CFT, FATF Recommendation 16, operator onboarding, and FIU review design.

Role

Aisha is the board’s independent compliance advisor. She does not license operators and she does not speak for an FIU. She reviews whether Nexus workflows — onboarding, travel-rule fields, time-lock holds — can be explained to a compliance committee without over-claiming.

Background

She is a senior fintech compliance consultant whose practice covers international money-transfer operators, AML/CFT programmes, and FATF Recommendation 16 (wire transfers). She has advised licensed remitters and their supervisors on operator onboarding, correspondent-style data quality, and how authorised push-payment fraud controls should be described to a policy audience.

Product pages such as APP fraud time-lock and ISO 20022 IMTO telemetry are engineering claims. Her role is to map those claims onto licensing and FIU practice.

What she advises Nexus on

Operator onboarding

Whether a 48-hour IMTO onboarding path is defensible — what is automated, what still needs a human reviewer.

FATF R.16 fields

Originator and beneficiary data completeness in pacs.008 so FIU staff are not reconstructing last month’s file.

FIU case handling

How a live feed, a hold queue, and an audit trail should look when an investigator opens a transaction.

Engagement

Independent retainer. Fractional. She is not a statutory director — those are listed at Companies House 16282987.
